In the last year, I’ve had three public art commissions for pediatric/OB medical facilities. Skyscrapers and houses were requested for all pieces. Colors and finished sizes were very specific, with a request for whimsical, wonky designs. Since I am challenged to cut and sew a straight line, this fit perfectly into my wheelhouse. All art quilts were eventually framed, under glass, and hung in a group. What’s the next commission? Beach cottages for a neonatal unit. How wonderful is that?
